It was thought that Elizabeth Wilkerson (b. 4/9/1798) married a man by the name of McKissick and had a son, Alexander. That theory has since been disproven. Descendants of the Stinnett family have had dna tests performed, which confirm ties to Stinnett, but no connection to the McKissick family. So, who is Alexander's father?
In any event, in 1923, Elizabeth married John Stinnett and went on to have seven more children. Alexander took the name Stinnett and was thought to be his mother's favorite. "Old Betts," as Elizabeth was called, has been referred to as a "hellcat on wheels!" She was Carole's gggg grandmother; her son Alexander was Carole's ggg grandfather.
