The Murray Family of Wakeman (Huron County) Ohio

James C. Murray was born June 18, 1839 in Ireland. He came to the United States in May, 1858, at the age of 18. He settled in Huron County, Ohio, where he met his future bride, Catherine Guthrie. They married on April 28, 1862 and were the parents of nine children.

Their son, James Lawrence Murray, was born on June 4, 1867 in Wakeman, Huron County, Ohio. He married Catherine Rose McMahon on October 24, 1905. They were also the parents of nine children.
