A fundraiser was held in the late 1940s, called the "Beautiful Baby Contest." Here's a photo of members of the American Legion, who had all fought in WWI or WWII, dressed up for the contest. Front row, left to right: the traveling director and Wanda Bell Felton Hales. Second row, left to right: Dick Parsons, Louis Murray, Bob Arndt (in the wheelbarrow), Bill Miller, Art Witzlaben Jr., Don Snyder, Alvin Baker, Jack Potter, Blaine Hurst, Charles Coultrip, Dick Ross, Don Hales and Jack Grady. Third row, left to right: Maynard Clark, Ben Humm, unidentified, Dave Wheeler, Andy Ortner, Bob Jenny, Ralph Jackson, Fremont Holmes, Jim Busek, Charles Shelton and Bob Bement.
